It is the purpose of this policy to minimize the risk of inappropriate use of personal information collected in the process of Club management.
- Each Club member is required to provide to the Board, and/or to individuals formally designated by the Board, certain personal information, e.g., name, mailing address, phone number(s), e-mail address(es), registration identification of aircraft owned by the member which is operated at the Club’s normal base(s) of operation, and, from time to time, other personal information deemed by the Board to be needed for Club management. 2. Personal information shall not be collected by Club members except for individuals formally authorized by the Board of Directors. Normally, these data are collected by the following Club officers, although the Board may designate others for specific needs:
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Member Relations Chief
- Webmaster(s)
- All personal information stored on the Club’s website will be accessible only to other Club members through encrypted access.
- No personal information shall be released to any individual or organization outside the Club’s membership EXCEPT
- as required by law or
- with the affected individual’s express prior approval and with the consent of the Board of Directors.
- The Board of Directors and/or appropriate Club officers shall release to individuals or organizations outside the Club summary data derived from individual personal information records provided that the data are structured so as to preclude the identification of any individual Club member.
